Yasmin looks forward to completing her high school education in October 2026.  She hopes to achieve a university credential and to become a junior high school teacher. Her goal is to help young kids like herself to do better. She hopes to become a junior high school teacher at Maya Jaguar; or, at least, to give talks or lead workshops there.

Values are an important part of education. She says she has learned more about being a successful person from being a student at Maya Jaguar than she would have learned at the public schools in her impoverished area. She wants to benefit future students by becoming a teacher herself and being the example she has been shown how to be.

Yasmin’s mother raises animals to feed her own family, and to sell to other people. Yasmin helps out with chores when she’s at home - and appreciates that her mother is supportive of her desire to assure that other children keep learning and advancing as she has. She has gained so much from her experiences at the campus: from computation skills, to life values, camaraderie, and more. She wants to keep advancing herself, and help others advance as well.
