Jerry Johns has taught students from kindergarten to grade eight, and is a professor emeritus at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, where he served on the faculty for 30 years. He has coauthored more than 50 books and articles and has presented at professional literacy conferences in 13 countries around the world. Jerry has received numerous awards for his contributions to education and literacy. He has traveled to over 50 countries. Jerry and his wife, Annette, have supported causes locally and internationally. He enjoys walking, playing pinball, and driving his 1971 Ontario Orange Corvette convertible.
