2026 Senior Class Trip

During the last week of July, eleven Maya Jaguar high school students enjoyed a much-anticipated field trip to International Lake on the Guatemalan-Mexican border. These students are the seniors who will graduate in October of this year.

The group was accompanied by the executive administrator, the principal, and the head teacher of Maya Jaguar Private Technical Institute, plus two dedicated volunteers, both of whom are directors of Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala.

The five-day adventure included educational visits to nearby Maya archeological sites, a cave visit, and nature walks. Recreational activities around the lake included rafting, boating, horseback riding, ziplining, and many new culinary experiences. It was also a time for bonding among students and staff, with discussions about the students’ plans for the future.
