2026 School Year Begins
A new school year has begun at Maya Jaguar Private Technical Institute and our campus is nearly at capacity, welcoming 57 students eager to learn and expand their opportunities for future success.
As the reputation of our secondary education program continues to reach the remote villages of western Guatemala, more parents seek to enroll their children in hopes of securing a brighter future.
Thanks to the generosity of individual donors, our scholarship students began the 2026 academic year in January. Our program combines rigorous academics with practical life-skills training, including computer science, electronics, woodworking, nutrition, and agricultural studies—equipping students with both knowledge and hands-on experience.
We proudly carry forward the vision of our Founder, Frances Dixon: preparing graduates for meaningful employment or university study. None of this would be possible without our dedicated supporters and volunteers. By empowering disenfranchised Maya youth through education, we help them become responsible leaders able to break the cycle of generational poverty within their communities.
