About Nancy

Nancy is a nuclear physicist/engineer who was a member of the delegation in Geneva that negotiated the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union. She developed her career as a program manager in instrumentation at Argonne National Laboratory, while raising three children. She served on the Committee on the Status of Women in Physics of the American Physical Society, where she has been named a Fellow of the APS, in recognition of her role on treaty verification, her research accomplishments, and her service on behalf of women in physics.

 

After an early retirement and move to a rural community in Oregon, she became involved in local planning projects and served a term on the local school board.
