After a long career in Business Administration and Human Resources specializing in working for non-profits, Mary-Anne spent six years teaching English in China. Since 2017, she has been working for Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. in Medford, Oregon as the Chief Executive Assistant and Board Liaison.
Among her accomplishments was the introduction of HILL, Holistic Integrated Language Learning, which was used in both Henan and Liaoning Provinces, respectively, at various universities. She has shared this methodology with other educators who now use it widely in China.
Mary-Anne briefly worked as an Administrative Assistant for Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala in late 2015 and early 2016. Since then, she has continued to support the organization. As she retires from her current position at the end of the year, she is excited to join as a member of the Literacy Council.
