About Alvaro

Alvaro graduated from the Maya Jaguar High School in 2014.  He currently studies part-time at the Panamericana Universidad de Guatemala where he is earning a degree as Profesorado de Segunda Enseñanza en Pedagogía y Ciencias Sociales.

Alvaro’s great interest is in history; specifically, the history of the Maya. The government offers sparse information in course curriculum.  As a result, Alvaro has taken on the study and teaching of Mayan history to his students as one of his primary goals.
